If they like to play online XB exclusives, have they any choice? But yes, the whole package, XB360 plus its multiplayer best seller exclusives plus XBL Gold, is obviously liked a lot by a lot of people. I'd say, though, that multiplayer exclusives are the key factor of this success, not additional premium services. Halo did for MS what even Windows couldn't.

Agreed. But I think the additional services are definitely sweetening the package for those who cannot justify buying it for gaming alone. If there wasn't anything but gaming in it, I certainly wouldn't be praising it as much, but I think Microsoft has done a great job of making it a service that is easy to and has many perks, and I don't mind telling them that with my wallet, even if others do some of the same things for free.
