I have a strong suspicion that if this game had been on the HD consoles, it would recieve a 9.5

No. If this game would be on HD consoles, it would not get free points for being wii exclusive.

You think those sites give bonuses for being Wii exclusive? Have you actually paid attention to them?

After playing many high rated wii exclusives, yes.

Wait. Which games do you mean, just so we know where we are coming from?

SMG,SMG2,TP,MP3,SSBB, Little king's story, Madworld... at least.

 

Perfect example is SMG (2), it gets a free pass on almost everything.

If it was a game on 360/PS3, it would not get 10 for graphics. Not even close.

It would be docked down for the godawful camera, gameplay would not be a 10.

A 10 hour game without online would not be getting 10 for lasting appeal.

Lack of real surround sound/bad voice acting would not get a 10 for sound.

Those weren't given good scores for being Wii exclusives. Those were given good scores for fitting in what reviewers think makes a good game. It happens on the other systems. Look at the content of the reviews, and you see a lot of 360 and PS3 games are given good scores for really dumb reasons, instead of what actually makes those games good. Plus we get overrated games on those as well.
