Basically, Pachter is well received by the industry and his peers because his accuracy for predicting the annual earnings of individual companies is unparalleled.
I wish I would have known this sooner because I took him as just a video game analyst and opined on him accordiingly. Now that I know his real job, predicting annual earnings of game companies, I will take it easy on him regarding his "fearless" statements about individual games.
Pachter was still dead wrong on Red Dead Redemption not going to be a blockbuster. I just have to throw that out there :)
