Oh, f'crying out loud. EVERY. FUCKING. WEEK. Can't we have a single Japan sales thread without people bitching about the Japan preview being off? It's just a preview, a guestimate. We don't guarantee that it's accurate; rather, it's what our analyst (TheSource) predicts based on trends and historical data. And frankly, he's still more accurate than some of the other analysts that some members here orgasm over at the mention of their name.
If this keeps up, there WILL be bans. It's getting to the point where I don't like coming into the Japanese sales threads because it's always the same thing. Unless you want to start making weekly predictions every week before any numbers are released, I don't want to see it anymore. Hell, if someone really wants to take me up on that, I'll be willing to crunch the numbers and give accuracy rates on everyone participating. It won't be prediction league quality, but it may be interesting...

The mods enforce existing rules, they don't make the rules and you particularly can't make up new rules on the fly in a thread and expect to be allowed to enforce it. People won't be banned for this, nor under an existing rule being stretched to cover it.

Seems like it falls under this rule.
Website criticism. Do not attack the website without basis. Reasonable debate based on facts is acceptable, but repeated attacks and negative comments about the website will not be tolerated. People are here to discuss games and sales, and doing nothing but attacking the site is disruptive to those who are trying to participate in a discussion.

Most articles get criticised in one way or another. If we apply the rule that generally we'd have to ban everyone that says anything bad about an article we put up, which I am not at all a fan of. I don't even like banning people when they talk bad about the site in general because banning them just vindicates them in their heads. Regardless this isn't up for debate guys, a mod said something, the head mod cleared it up. Back to topic at hand.

I think you would see a lot more civility in discussions if there was greater enforcement of the rules, but that is just my opinion. Things have really gotten worse lately in terms of civility IMO.
