Gears 3 is all they really need. It'll outsell anything Sony brings to the table for Q3/Q4 2011.

Not sure what else. Left 4 Dead 3 sounds about right. Seems a bit early for Splinter Cell 6 but who knows.

Gears 3 will sell more, but quantity =/= quality which is what we're all discussing :L

But gears is quality, and IMO it beats anything sony has to offer.

I just hope they go back to Gears 1 style online. Seriously. Gears of War was godly online-- still the best time I've ever had online since Halo CE PC.

But Gears 2 . . . just . . . not social enough. I could never play against the same people twice. It took the ability to just screw around with strangers away. Also, I hated how much people relied on holing up somewhere and grenade tagging the walls. It always made it tricky to finish Sudden Death matches.

Best case scenerio, they take away rankings, banish matchmaking to the fiery bowels of the underworld, and . . . put back in team kills for players matches. I don't care what they do with ranked matches though . . .

Agreed completely! Gears 1 is my favorite multiplayer game this gen, and within my top 5 of all time. Gears 2 took a serious plunge unfortunately, although it was still a solid title. I'm hoping much of what made Gears 1 so sensational returns in Gears 3.

I hope so too, but I kind of doubt it it seems everyone and their grandma is obsessed with matchmaking nowadays. And rankings. And dear lord if they put in killstreaks I'm going to kill a puppy.

When did multiplayer become such S3R10US BUISSNESS!!1!one? I'm not going to hold out hope for a return to the golden days, but maybe . . . just maybe . . .
