I just talked to my bank. They said they would approve the transaction. However they said that the retailer themselves do check things like billing address and phone numbers etc...etc... so he said while the bank would clear the transaction that the retailer themselves may not.

Man I'd be pissed if Best Buy doesn't approve the sale. I go every Black Friday and buy stuff from them all the time. It would royally anger me that the one year I couldn't go they wouldn't allow me to shop online because I'm Canadian. Capital One said that the transaction is pending and I'll know if Best Buy approves the sale in four buisness days!

So i guess I should know friday! Has any other Mexican or Canadian ever ordered from a store and had to use an American address and pretend to be American?

My uncle says he did so all the time with EBay and Amazon etc...etc... I wonder if anyones ever ran into a problem with the billing address?

I'm pretty sure they mean the retailer's merchant ( the bank that provides the actual transaction system they use) which is nothing more than a confirmation of card details and follows the same rules of checking samples for audit purposes. The retailer cannot check a billing address you give them against the card address themselves, they don't have access to the information on file at a bank and cannot gain access to it.
