You can get Hvy spheres from mining. Btw if you want Rathalos Rubies do the Red Hot Party event, I got one two days ago. I also got 5 Urugaan Rubies at once which are even more rare in my case lol.

The best spheres I only ever seem to get from mining are Hrd spheres. Which quest do I need to do to mine Hvy ones? ... actually, I'm afraid of Evil Joe and didn't hunt him yet, so maybe these quests are the ones.
