I expected more than 2.4 million for the first 4 days to be honest. 5 yrs of anticipation, which is why I believe Sony hasnt advertised much, Black Friday week and this being the first release of the flagship Playstation title. GT4 was released during the spring and it sold the same amount in 4 days. Dont expect GT5 to have the legs either because with such a large PS3 install base already and no GT release yet I expect GT5 to be much more front loaded particularly when it was released for holidays and it is the only big time Playstation 3 exclusive released for the holiday.
Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.
