Since this is the root of the derailment, I'm going to start here. Both MC and VGC have different ways of obtaining information. Constantly bitching and attacking this site's numbers is NOT ACCEPTED. Consider this the warning for the thread.

As for those calling the 2K difference, take a closer look at the trunkations being done. The difference is closer to 1200, or, under 5%, the site's target margin for error. Thus, it's a statisical tie between the two.

How is questioning the accuracy of sales number a derailment of sales thread?

Last time i got banned for questioning this sites number (for Punchout first week numbers) it had huge adjustments few weeks later.

Sorry, derailment is probably the wrong choice of words. I'm not sure off the top of my head what word would work best, other than the fact that every week lately, when the Japanese numbers are posted, people bitch about how they're different from Media Create. And frankly, seeing the same thing every week is getting annoying, because it's all essentially whining. Like has been mentioned also in this thread, why does nobody bring up Famitsu numbers anymore? Reason: because it doesn't support the bitching.
