Best Buy don't care, but as I said its not them that actually does the checking. They process your payment but its the bank that approves it and majority are approved because they only check the name and card details are accurate, some get checked to match up address but its relatively few and that is simply because the bank has to follow audit and compliance checks. The worst they can do is stop your card working until they have spoken to you to ensure its not stolen. Likely all they would do is cancel they payment.
Its actually the same with anything banks do, apply for a new credit card and besides the credit check on everyone much of the details could say anything as only a few are actually checked for audit purposes unless of course there has been previous irregular activity. Not that I recommend making stuff up as if you do get caught it will stay on your record and get caught too many times thats how you get into serious trouble.
