Not sure how it works over in the colonies but here in the motherland they use just the house number and the numbers in the post code to confirm billing address the rest of the address is taken purely for audit/marketing. BTW it won't be the retailer that checks but your bank that confirms payment details and they only check a sample of payments or ones that have high alert status due to previous irregular activity.
