I mean, past trends were the only indicator. It's not like it inspired amazing confidence over the course of year, people will always be a bit skeptical. Some trends indicate it would go up, but performance and the releases over the year didn't necessarily. I don't think anyone should be flamed, unless they were being obnoxious in their criticism.

I expect wii to sell less then last year but last year the wii set records.
My thought was wii would win the holidays but not the demolition that was last year

This is my fourth holiday with vgchartz so there is some perspective
