Everything looks like flat layers, or do we really get the sense of depth spread in every minor surface?

it does make the game seem more deep. Paper Mario and Animal Crossing were actually the best looking games and the 3D really wowed me. Resident Evil looks how you would expect it to look, kinda like a 3D movie. Their are some really bad 3D effects though, Im looking at you Ridge Racer
