That's probably the volume control. There's a second picture of the unit closed, and there's no volume control on the side or bottom.

I think loading the games on the side is smart (so you can make the hinge thinner) and eliminating the GBA slot helps slim it, too. However, this thing doesn't look like it'd be comfortable to play. Based on the thickness and button layout, you'd probably cramp up in fifteen minutes. Also, the shoulder buttons would be too thin.

Looks aren't everything.


I have to agree, this layout of the buttons does not look comfortable to use. 1The screen sizes seem uneven, and 2the device itself is too thin to hold it easily while playing games.
