Here is a question, can the older PSP's run without a batter if they have a charge plugged in?

Yes, sounds like you need a new charger

Except I have 3.... and none of them work.

Which makes me think it's got to do with the PSP itself.

Really now... that sounds serious... like maybe having to do with the input jack for the charger, if the thing isn't staying on when you have a charger plugged in and you've taken the battery out, it's for sure not the battery and then becomes an issue of either the PSP or the charger, which if you have 3, then its likely the PSP.

Yep.  It's either...  All 3 of my PSP jacks have failed at once... or my PSP.

Or...... not.  I just tried a 4th charger.... and that one is working...

Wtf....

So... SOMEHOW 3 chargers of mine have all simaltaniously failed... I guess?

Or my PSP charger is just being screwy.... only had the one PSP, so i'm not sure, but I know with the defualt charger I got with it, it would be very finicky with when it would charge and when it wouldn''t having to twist it in a few times to get it to charge...

These are offical Sony chargers and everything.

Yeah I actually have to twist mine around as well, it might actually be the cord that plugs into the wall, my original started to flake on me, wouldn't charge and whatnot, but then I switched out the cord with the cord that is used for my old laptop charger and its worked ever since.

So the answer might be Sony bought/made some cheap universal power cables for their PSP chargers.
