The counts are actually supposed to be by year (not total per platform) since an average of games bought per platform per year (total games/total years) owned doesn't say anything in regards to the tapering off of game purchases the higher number of years a consumer has owned their console as suggest by Source.

This is more or less what I'm trying to confirm here as the conclusion was that by the 5th year of ownership, the typical owner more or less stops buying new games for the console (or it trickles down to almost nothing). 

I should have posted my own by year, but I simply didn't want to count out everything for each platform by year so I only posted my 2010 totals.
