I'm just plain terrible at memorizing where the buttons are unless I'm constantly having to press a certain button (say like playing God of War). I recognize colors a lot quicker than I recognize letters/symbols.
I personally like the D-Pad, it works well. It's not as good as the PS3 or DS D-Pad still, but I can play Tetris with it now so that's a plus. I don't know if the controller is worth the $65 they're asking, luckily I got mine for $52.
