On a side note, as much as I don't think any of Marvell's current processors is a good fit for a gaming console, Nintendo choosing to produce a console with an ARM CPU may be a good approach for the company ... Nintendo has two gaming platforms that each require significant R&D to develop hardware, software and tools on regular intervals. If they can consolidate some of their R&D, and reuse more between platforms, they can reduce the costs associated with being a hardware manufacturer.
Being that Nintendo couldn't design an architecture for their next home console and scale it down to work in the 3DS one of the only approaches they would have to see this consolidation this generation would be to scale the 3DS's architecture 'up' to become the core of their next home console. Essentially, taking an arm-processor and adding instructions, increasing the number of cores, boosting the cache and over-clocking it would allow you to boost its performance to what ever level you desired.
