pricepoint - they are used to cheap things as all things are cheap there(by cheap i mean low in price)
other competing console being way more expensive still to date
COOL and Popular - Every brand goes through this phase,other brands have already exclipsed this,Xbox is going through it.and in NA people tend to follow the trend going on
MS is a US company
marketing - MS does alot of marketing,very few people dedicatedly follow gaming or any specific thing so they tend to go for whatever they see
