True, but the difference on 360/wii is that not every 360 is bundled with the same game and there are consoles without any bundled games available. I am not saying that the sales of the sonic tennis game weren't inflated.

Well, going back to the original comment... I don't see how that's really any different for this year then?  Wii's always been bundled with a game in America, albeit a game a good amount of Wii owners likely would've bought anyway (like they did in Japan).

If anything though, I'd argue Nintendo's quite conservative with bundling this gen.  Wii Sports was a strategic move, and now WSR/NSMB are being value-added in place of a price drop (and in Mario's case, for his anniversary promotion).  They're pretty restrained all things considered, especially compared to the fast and loose bundling and tons of SKU combinations we see their competition always pushing.

It is different this year because there won't be any of those legacy consoles soon. :P I'm just saying that a lot of console buyers are forced to get a game or 2 which they have no interest on.

Soon?  There's only a month and half left of "this year"?

And I'd say the number of Wii buyers with "no interest" in Wii Sports is likely pretty miniscule.  Even this year... I don't think there's much real "forcing" here overall.
