| *Sound Of Rain said: Next week Wii domination should begin as well as Wii>360>PS3 for the rest of 2010. Holiday Update: This is how the final 10 weeks or Holiday sales look so far...4 weeks in. #3*PS3__1 Million 167K(1.167 Million) #2*Wii__1 Million 175K(1.175 Million) #1*360__1 Million 180K(1.180 Million)
So far the Holiday's look extremely close with the gap between 360(#1) and PS3(#3) being only 13K! PS3 goes from #1 to #3 in Holiday #'s this week by a slim amount and 360 goes from #3 to #1 with Wii still being #2 in Holiday #'s so far. Future releases: Not many big exclusives are left for either PS3 or 360 in 2010 besides for GT5 and 360 seems to be done with big exclusives for the year except for Kinect in Japan(Could it effect sales?) Wii still has a decent amount of potentially big releases still to go in 2010 with Udraw in America which releases during next weeks chart, Donkey Kong in all regions, Micheal Jackson, Sonic Colors, Disney Epic Mickey, and Super Mario Collection in America and Others, Mario Sports Mix in Japan, as well as 2 Black Wii bundles in Others.(One with Mario Kart Wii and the other with Wii Fit Plus) |
I'm sure the Wii will come out on top but this week basically seals the deal as far as where things will stand between the PS3 and the 360 in the last 10 weeks of the year. At this point it's almost a mathematical certainty. On the weeks in which 360 had everything going for it in Americas (Kinect launch, Black Ops bundles) the largest gap it got in Americas was only 100k. If that's the largest gap it can muster than there's no way it can top PS3 because that's the minimum the gap will be every week in December in Japan plus the last week of November. And EMEAA won't even be a contest once GT5 comes out.
