the thing that matter is the final sales when the consoles finally stop selling.
since PS3 come out a year late, no matter what, it will always stay at 3rd place because X360 already sold 6m ahead of PS3 a year early before PS3 come out.
so if you delete X360 first year early release sales of 6m, X360 could stand at 38m right now behind PS3 about 2m units.
but in the end, like i said above, the consoles still keep selling so it doesn't matter what place you're at, the sales will only count when this gen consoles stop selling in the future.
right now, Wii > X360 > PS3 in place of users base.
