Yes, some sales are of Goldeneye to blame, but still, you're looking at it the same way as everyone looks at a Nintendo Wii sales. Let me show you something: http://gamrreview.vgchartz.com/sales/13684/boom-blox/ Everyone said the game was a flop because of it's first month perfonce, but behold: the game has sold over 1 million copies. Not exactly my definion of a flop. Then let me show these: http://gamrreview.vgchartz.com/sales/39017/call-of-duty-modern-warfare-reflex-edition/ http://gamrreview.vgchartz.com/sales/23991/call-of-duty-world-at-war/ http://gamrreview.vgchartz.com/sales/4935/call-of-duty-3/
It's true that they didn't sell as good as the HD version, but that was expected, and yet all of them sold a lot over a million. Now just watch it's legs. |
Boom Blox had great legs because it was selling at a price point of 19,99$ or something like that. What a company wants is to sell a lot first week because that's when they make the most money per unit. It's not only about the # of sales.
