Why is Nintendo telling us what's a success? Shouldn't Activision be the ones telling us it's a success? you know, the guys with the development budget, the marketing budget and their own set of expectations. It's odd that Nintendo had to make a statement, when it wasn't really their statement to make.

Did you actually read the comment? It was just as much about their system as it was about their game.

I read it, but they still shouldn't comment on something that may or may not be true. We don't know what Activisions expectations were, we don't know how much they spent making and marketing the game. Just because Nintendo thinks Goldeneye sold well, it doesn't mean that Activision will think along the same lines. As others have mentioned in this thread, Goldeneye is a remake of one of largest FPS games of the fifth generation, they could have expected 400 thousand in it's first week for all we know.

Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.
