Very disappointing indeed, I would have thought that Square-Enix would have attempted to revive or include a practical character. Slime is not appropriate.  

Meh, Slime should be popular and the character is pretty versatile.  It's the only one besides Chocobo to ever get it's own game too.

edit: only one on SE side I meant.  Obviously Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Peach, DK, Diddy and Wario have each had their own games also.
