Oh so that's why your impressions were how they were, most people like me were like yeah Sports Champions is a decent little title but it's not replacing Wii Sports Resort lol

Not exactly sure what you call deep, cause I don't find getting medals in Sports Champions deep, since the goal of playing the sports in the Wii sports series is getting things like the pro status and getting higher rankings and the game getting progressively harder, main attraction being playing with others which is what it should be.

To me Wii Sports was very shallow, basically demos, but that is what is was aimed to be. Having not played Wii Sports Resort the gameplay and progression felt much better to me in Sports Champions. I actually have incentive to go back and play, plus some of those gold matches are hard. Would be nice if it had online though.

Not exactly sure how many matches it takes to get to pro level for every sport in the Wii Sports series but it's all set at 1000 points and it varies on your own skill how long it takes to get there if you keep playing perfect matches you're rewarded with more points than you would be if you gave your opponent some points. And it still continues after the pro status and you can lose points/pro status.

I know it is like that in WiiSports, but I find it very easy to get to pro status (1000 points). Once I got there, which was pretty quickly, I felt no reason to keep playing, unless I was playing multiplayer bowling or swing at a few pitches.

Wii Sports had 5 sports all with various modes to play, in training, and in multiplayer.  One of my favorite modes from the original was the home run contest. Sports resort you have 12 sports with different modes and my favorite in Resort it's the sword fighting mode where you take down hoards of enemies.

Homerun contest is my favorite too, but I always win by the mercy rule within the first 2 innings. I want a real homerun contest game though, with better precision, like the ability to know if I am swinging too high or too low, reaching out or golfing one low and inside. I am good at swinging the bat, played Baseball since childhood.

Looking forward to MLB 11 The Show. In terms of Baseball sims it is second to none and hitting has always been a bitch, like it should be. They like to put out the best game they can and I hope with the camera the move can allow what I am asking for. The calibration always makes you register where your waist line is, so I think it could work. If Sony ever wanted to really show the Move off, they should make the MLB series truly the King of the Hill, even though it already is.

It would never become too much of a hassle or too tiring since in RTTS you only partake in your created players at-bats each game. My arm would be dead if I had to do 27 at-bats per game. I like only doing 3-4.

You know it would be awesome.

The Wii sports series lacks unlocking characters for the use of any Mii you make so you have full character customization and is part of the reason the series became so iconic, Colbert made a Mii of himself and he was boxing with Miis based on other characters, and there are youtube vids of Jesus beating up Satan just brilliant stuff.

I think the Mii's look stupid. Never cared too much for them.

So yeah I really don't know what you define as deep cause gameplay of both I consider easy to get into and fun to play but far from deep since they use the simple and clean formula, while on content they both do the same thing, play, get progressively harder, meet the end of an ultimate goal, and have variations on every sport.

I guess difficulty reaching the top of the pedestal is why. Wii Sports is very easy and quick to obtain 1000 in all modes for me.

Lol uh homerun contest, just called Hitting Home Runs, in the game doesn't work that way you've got 10 balls and you're trying to hit all 10 into the stands, which is easier said than done, there is no mercy rule.  Overall statements like that just solidify my thought that you're not very well informed on Wii Sports, it makes believing you've actually gotten pro scores and you're really good at the games even less believable, because you'd know it takes a while to get to pro status even if you do have perfect games, even then it gets harder and harder the more you go along.

The only games you that don't progressively get harder are Bowling and Golf because they're the only ones you're not competing with the computer its just trying to get the highest score possible, even then with Bowling your points for pro slow down even if you bowl near perfect games each time and golf varies depending on which three holes you pick and how low your score gets.

But Miis look stupid?  They're cartoony and comical looking and fitting the mood of the game itself, sorry it's no Uncharted realistic looking model or instead

I could pick from generic looking girl one or two! Or pay 2 dollars to unlock all the secret characters and 5 to play some Halloween themed ones! Sorry that just seems silly to me, Miis make for a shit ton of customization and you can have epic boxing matches between Satan and Jesus, or have Chuck Norris have a perfect 10 home runs, or create a Penis face to embarrass your significant other while you two bowl!

Really though I'm not motivated to unlock characters in Sports Champions and they lack any sort of personalization, I mean they could have allowed you to use your home character or something, at least I'd have a cute looking redhead goth girl to use Anyway my comment was not how you think Miis look stupid but rather Wii Sports was designed with a different philosophy behind it and part of that comes out with personalization and with Miis you have freedom of creating characters, to make as many as you want, to have different match ups and all of that counts just as much towards "being fleshed out" as unlocking characters in another game.
