You barely can do anything during that timeframe because you watch cutscene after cutscene, only interrupted by an annoying tutorial (that can never be skipped, awful), short bits of running along a set path and an underwhelming first boss fight.

So you're saying millions of copies were sold but people returned it after one hour of playing the game?
