Which Wii Console model did you buy?

On the off chance you feel there could be some legitimate debate regarding the confusion of the other SKUs why not talk about it in the topics already created for those systems?

You know the line about assumptions right? Go look through my post history and tell me what kind of fanboy I am. I love the Wii but silly threads meant to goad PS3 and 360 fans into arguments should be stopped.

I changed the text to make it less provocative. I just thought it was a good point - why do we have all these topics if Microsoft/Sony are consistent and confident. They arent from my perspective, but perhaps supporters of MS and Sony feel otherwise about the SKUs.

See I'm actually pretty confident still, I think one SKU is great, but at the same time I think 2 is even better. I agree that MS and Sony are really pushing the "too many godamn sku's" angle at the moment, but I think 2 is perfect. If I had the choice between the Wii (current), or a Wii with a built in hard drive, standard ethernet connect, and DVD playback for 50 or 100 dollars more? I sure as hell woulden't be picking the cheaper version. I'm a big fan of features and simplicity of a single unit. I will gladly pay a little more for ease of use on my entertainment center.
