| pacman91 said: Big Picture: Resident Evil 4 wii edition had great controls. Since that point, for some reason no developer wants to replicate such an effective control scheme into a game. In walks EA with a franchise that already uses the over-the-shoulder gunplay in a horror setting. Seems like the perfect match. Instead EA decides to bring a more 'casual', 'wii-friendly' experience. Problem was, plenty of casual on-rail games had already come out, each with moderate reviews. In a library full of railed shooters an RE4esque game would have been huge. That's my initial beef with the game. I'm sure you've heard this before. |
Ironically Capcom is also guiltly of this. I remember interviews from what I think one of the producers of Umbrella Chronicles claiming the game was suppose to play similar to the Resident Evil 4 but Capcom suits thought a rail shooter would go over better with the Wii Audience. (Despite Resident Evil 4 already being quite a success.)
Eariler today I saw on the hot forum topics titles "Capcom surpised by sales growth Move generated for RE:5" or something. It feel's like companies go out of thier way to ignore the Wii. =P
