Yes bet sony would like to see the same in the US and other places in the longer term as we see in spain (2008 mabey ).
Chartz shows the PS3 is last to launch in spain and then takes the lead over the x360 in 6 months then takes the lead on the Wii after 10 months, and looking on track to stay that way for a while too.
What I hope to see is the PS3 loose to the Wii in spain because in my opinion Sony and the games developers are not exploiting the PS3's motion sensing properly (or the Wii's either for that matter) If sony deserve to beat the Wii it should be by doing everything better including motion use in games, it costs enough that buyers should expect this of the machine.
Ie Wii and Ps3 both have a bowling game and i dont think either is using the full motion sensing on either console the Ps3's has better graphics is all. The developers dont have a clue about motion sensing on either console.
If Sony and developers put in effort to better the PS3 vs Wii motion usage they deserve to lead if not i hope the Nintendo Wii should take the lead from Sony.!
Being a PS3 owner i am annoyed that in spite of the obvious capability of the sixaxis many Car games dont support that most basic of feature - motion steering and they wonder why attach rate is low.
I only buy games which have good motion support - so far thats Flow , Loco_roco, motorstorm , rub-a-dub , folklore (i havent tried lair ).
I hope when GT5 comes out without motion support the spanish revolt and make Sony refund the money they have wasted on their PS3's, and buy them Wii's instead.
