FWIW, the NPD Group just sent out planned dates for the next three releases:
October 2010 sales release: Nov. 16, 2010 (as expected in this thread)
November 2010 sales release: Dec. 9, 2010
December 2010/year-end sales release: Jan. 13, 2011

Those are official ... until they're changed, of course!
