This also confused me a bit. Considerring physical retailers PC shelf space has dwindled in recent years, how much of a threat is it to publishers? In the future, digital download sales will exclipse conventional retailers.
Are publishers really going to care if a physical retailer stops stocking a game? It just means people are more likely to look online where publishers get a greater profit from each download anyway.
It seems to be more of any empty threat than anything else.
