yeah, I was thinking of a crappy text-based visual basic game myself. Even Baseball Mogul is text based and its one of the more successful games out there.
If people want to add pictures and stuff, then have them email you and then you can put them somewhere, or you can set up some kind of skin system if they want to get fancy and set their own pictures
