It's either because the numbers are totally off or because they are very right.
Would Microsoft have any reason to be embarassed by Kinect's sales? Are they under their expectations? Why wouldn't he provide numbers or at least an hint if VGC is so off?
Anyway there's no reason to be intimidated by him who has made some pretty twisted predictions.
Btw he just played Black Ops for 12 hours straight. ~get a doctor~
