 I'm gonna support Picko on this one. If Single Player games are his bread and butter, then Smash Bros really isn't a good selection for him. Like I said, Smash really shines on creating an intense battle atmosphere with multiple fellow players. I can't even remember the last time I played any of the single player modes.

That's a fair point, but to quote Picko: "The first Smash Bros was rubbish."  You can't use the experience of player the single-player of a multiplayer-focussed game (a fighting game, no less) as a basis for saying that the game sucks.  "I didn't like the first game" or "The games don't do it for me because i like singleplayer" would have been more acceptable, as I think most will agree.
