The first Smash Bros was rubbish. My first experience with the game involved playing through the one player game once and then not touching the game again for six months. At a later date I gave the game a bit more time but it was a shallow and largely worthless experience.
I obviously had zero anticipation for the sequel and have only played it a small amount. But for the most part the series doesn't do much for me, which isn't surprising given I have a large preference for single player story-driven games so a game like SSB is hardly directed at me.
