Again, the sales of the $250 Wii showed that casuals are willing to pay money for a fun experience. Kinect is having no problems selling at $150.

kinect isn't 150$ for casuals. A casual would most likely need to buy a 360 and kinect which is almost double the price of a wii.

@people questioning how many of each bundle exists

It's fair to assume that there are far fewer 360 kinect bundles than there are straight kinect bundles. It can't be anywhere near close. I'd even be surprised of a 25/75 ratio of shipments.

sorce.

you really need a source to show that a much smaller box for 150$ will be in much greater supply than a much larger box for 300$

Let's just wait for the numbers. I don't know why you'd think anything different.

Come holiday time there is going to be constraint. If there are more kinect 360 bundles, and people have 360s and want kinect, then they're out of luck.

However, if there are far more kinect standalones, then if the bundles run out, people who wanted one can always buy the standalone and a seperate 360.

If both run out, then that's a problem. But for MS, every bundled set on a shelf represents not only a lost sale, but a profit cut too. Had that kinect instead been a standalone, then it would have sold, and made them more money.

Not only that, but you can fit 4 kinect boxes in the same space as a kinect 360 bundle. It's a price per square foot issue as well, and lots of big box stores use that number.
