That was my point. With Kinect we reportedly have a hardware lag of around 100-150ms plus however much the software introduces. Wii has a hardware lag of 50ms plus software lag, Move has 22ms plus software lag. You can improve the software side, but you can't "patch" the hardware.

Move is better until you introduce the camera in the mix, apparently working in tandem it creates slight lag, had someone give me some links when I brought it up in my Move impressions thread.  I think these developers of these products need to think about things like that, if the devices used causes lag, its going to be even worse when you throw software in the mix.

From launch game lineup lag is as follows Wii > Move (not bad at all just enough to notice) >> Kinect it can actually effect gameplay like I said with Kinect, something you don't really see with the other devices, and for any gamer being hindered by hardware is a frustration.

Lag effects Reflex Ridge and River Rafting, but not Dance Central or [most of] Kinect Sports. I haven't played much of the other games on Kinect Adventures, but I haven't noticed any on them yet.

The real issue with Kinect is as you all say; the hardware lag is an issue. Fortunately for us, NaturalMotion believes they can cut down on lag in Kinect with their software; according to them, they can make lag disappear entirely from being noticeable, presumably even when we are looking for it. Given that the Kinect Menus work with absolutely no visible lag, that bodes well for future games, showing that Kinect most certainly has the potential to have zero noticable lag games (if Dance Central didn't already tip us off to that.)

From here on out it all depends on the developers.

The menus still feel really loose to me, I think one reviewer stated it as you feel like you're dragging the pointer rather than directing it, I didn't understand what he meant till I played with it, I kinda wish they had it where you could just point your finger and barely move your arm, that would have been badass to me.
