The reason for Apple/Job and Nintendo/Iwata success. Is this simple philosophy. Create a market or appeal to a broader market. Neither of these people looked at each others companies and thought to be like the other. Regardless of who came first. The first step to a boom is to create for a consumer not take a consumer market by copying a product. This includes strategies. So no.
I will give a nod to jobs, because I don't think Iwata should look at Jobs for success. They have achieved success in their respective fields. Though I think Jobs achieved wider acceptance in Apple products than Nintendo, but that's only because of product market. Phones and PMP's are more popular than "toys".
Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.
