I agree that two people still get two units, but we don't know how many used 360s gamestop has in warehouses, and we don't know if those consoles still work either.

Saying ours numbers are fine because they track install base with higher accuracy doesn't correspond with what you countered.

Refurbished = / = Used

Also, a refurb sale isn't really much different from a new unit sale.  They're both from the manufacturer to consumer basically.  In your scenario, it's two units, two sales from the manufacturer, two to the installed base... I don't really see the issue?


No, 3 unit. The first one purchase by the consumer, the one he get in store replacement for, and then the refurb one is being re-shipped and re-sale.
