I've never had an actually RRoD on a 360 of my own but I have got several 360's and two RRoD's with other circumstances.
- The first 360 I bought was dead out of the box (bad DVD drive, wouldn't open) but returned it about an hour later to Gamestop and got another new one.
- That 360 was nearly our of warranty or out of warranty, I don't remember, but it sounded like a jet engine and didn't have an HDMI port so I got a new one. It's probably a 1 1/2 years old and runs nice and quiet still.
- I've had a dev kit RRoD on, that was pretty scary but turned out not to be a big deal.
- Got a 360 S as a gift from work and loving it. ^^
