I'd like to get an impression regarding the number of system failures after the end of Microsoft's extended 3-year warranty, to get an idea about how many people had to buy more than one 360.

Please don't vote if you haven't owned a 360 for at least three years!

Fans of other consoles, please don't vote "yes" just because you dislike Microsoft; that's childish. This poll is not a popularity contest.

"Well certainly with the Xbox 360, we had some challenges at the launch. Once we identified that we took control of it. We wanted to do it right by our customers. Our customers are very important to us." -Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb (10/2013). Note: RRoD was fixed with the Jasper-revision 3 years after the launch of 360

"People don't pay attention to a lot of the details."-Yusuf Mehdi explaining why Xbone DRM scheme would succeed

"Fortunately we have a product for people who aren't able to get some form of connectivity; it's called Xbox 360,”-Don Mattrick

Question, is there a way to view the results without voting?

My launch 360 RRoD 3 months after the 3 year warranty ended.  Didnt get a replacement because MS replaced even though it was 3 months after the expiration.

Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.

No, but I have been given a dead 360 which is out of warranty that I'll be sneaking into work to swap for the working one there.

Well mine RROD around 2ish years so it got extended then did the same almost one year later so it got extended again...but other then a few hickups one year after the last RROD >_> other then that it's been good.

This happened to a friend and he eventually got someone who's not Microsoft employee to fix the console for a few bucks.

I've never had an actually RRoD on a 360 of my own but I have got several 360's and two RRoD's with other circumstances.

  • The first 360 I bought was dead out of the box (bad DVD drive, wouldn't open) but returned it about an hour later to Gamestop and got another new one.
  • That 360 was nearly our of warranty or out of warranty, I don't remember, but it sounded like a jet engine and didn't have an HDMI port so I got a new one.  It's probably a 1 1/2 years old and runs nice and quiet still.
  • I've had a dev kit RRoD on, that was pretty scary but turned out not to be a big deal.
  • Got a 360 S as a gift from work and loving it.  ^^
