Apple's fans are much more hardcore than Sony's. Don't you dare say anything bad of Steve.

Maybe they are but they certainly aren't on this forum.

Anyway I don't think they have much really to do with each other aside from the fact that one is a pure gaming company and the other is only in gaming by accident effectively.

I think Pachter was suggesting they have similiar ways of doing buisness.

He says Iwata wants to always innovate like Steve Jobs and copy Apple's success. As company exec's Iwata and Jobs are no doubt in my mind the two smartest exec's in the world. Both are the heads of two of the most successful companies in the world and now that Jobs and Iwata have both acknowledged each other as competitors I think the comparison's are growing in leaps and bounds.

Also Apple does have a very dedicated and large fanbase but so does Nintendo. I don't think any Nintendo fan should or will feel afraid to speak their minds on VGChartz. Now I'm not saying people should be uncivil were talking about two of the greatest minds on earth. But who should be following and looking up too who?

No he doesn't. He was talking about their product development strategy, I.E. Pachter thinks they are probably doing too much looking for the killer inovations when he thinks they ought to be like Apple and create solid and polished products which iterate on pre-existing concepts or draw concepts together from multiple different places.

Man I rewatched it again and don't follow how you got that. He talks about Iwata comparing himself to Steve Jobs and always having to create a big new product.  Everything he makes has to be revolutionary and take the industry by storm. Garnette Lee talks about how Nintendo should follow Apple's strategy and release a new console consistantly like how Apple release I-Phone , I-Phone 2,3,4G.

Man I'll relisten to it again. But I'm pretty sure Pachter was comparing Iwata to Steve Jobs not saying Iwata should be like Steve Jobs.I'm confused, I tried watching it a third time but for some reason it won't load. I'll get back to you later
