Pokemon Company for those who don't know was put in charge of handling the Pokemon franchise by Nintendo. Anyways they recently did a poll in Japan to find out which Pokemon was Japan's favorite. The poll's results might suprise you Pika Pika never even made the top three.
And the top five Pokemon in Japan are......drum roll....

So as a reward Nintendo is giving Arceus away to players of Pokemon Black and White in Japan. Man I'm suprised other then Mew and Pikachu all the favorite Pokemon are not origional (150).
