5. Battle system - not good really, i honestly fell asleep when i was playing through lake bresha at the beginning. the battles are too repititive, they're all scripted encounters that have to be won in the same way. its so boring imo.
the biggest problem is that the characters, enemies and the ATB move very fast, but you cant select the moves fast enough - forcing you to resort to attack x 5, or auto battle. imo they shouldve assigned shortcut keys to allow you to select moves and sift through customised menus quicker than having to scroll through the menus.
4. imo even if there were towns like nautilus, you would get bored, because its very linear anyway.
3. story is pretty abysmal man. (imho). nothing really happens, the hanging edge was a repeat of the same battle 20 times until you got to a point where the line map ends. not much exploration - just running in a straight line and watching cutscenes.
the cutscenes were poor because of script - which was really shallow imo. you just listen to characters monologues all the time. the charaters dont talk about the mythology, they shout at each other and thats the story of the game until we find out that 'its our focus, Serah said so' for the nth time. the story never moves foward, always stays in the same place recycling the same point again and again, until you realise that its been 20 hours since you learned anything new.
2. Sazh was good, but the rest of the cast were aweful. all were imaturely written. the dialogue is camp eg Fang: 'well lady luck sure aint on his side'. the characters were a hormonal mess, Lightning is unrealistic, oh yeah the whole cast is unrealistic and its embarrasing to hear the tripe they cry out all the time.
