3- Brand name isn't everything, wasn't Nintendo beat when Sony came into the market, and is Nintendo not #1 again despite having 2 system selling far more poorly then the competition?

You can't assume things, just because you want them to happen

brand name is actually one of the biggest things along with price

ninty was beat by sony when PS1 came cause of many reasons.delay in N64,lower third party support as always.ninty consoles keep changin their names so people have trouble recognizing them which would have helped them if they followed the same name like XBOX,PLAYSTATION,etc

4- It's called logic. a) a price cut won't do much, b) If I'm wrong, MS will make a bigger price cut. That way I have to be wrong twice to be wrong, which is significantly less likely then being wrong once.

and you are wrong MS won't do a bigger pricecut and they can't,they can't make a bigger price cut than $100 which would take 360 4gb to $100 and that wouldn't happen as they would not push that much at this stage

just because you have to be wrong twice doesn't mean you can;t be wrong,you know you will be and you have been wrong

5- See I make mistakes on Kinect too. Wow $500 million, are you sure? They may as well just buy a bunce of Kinects and give them out..

what is that supposed to mean.your comment makes it sound more like you made mistakes on choice not by mistakenly.if you were with good intentions,they will be recognized.what you do it trying to be recognized by intention where you fail

and your theory of them buying out a bunch of kinects and giving them out won't work

as Kinect costs $150 and they would only be able to give around 3m kinects with that money.

also that is only to existing 360 owners so thjat would defeat the purpuse of new owners

6- PS3 sales have jumped decently due to Move releasing, don't you think Kinect won't boost 360 sales as well? With that huge marketing campaign, and a pretty interesting device, how can it fail?

i don't think PS3 sales have just jumped because of MOVE

a week ago you wouldn't have said that cause of the sales before adjustments

just because SONY shipment figures were high,VGC team just allocated sales here and there and at the same time MOVE release so they put alot of sales there to justify the discrepancies

but if you are following the shipped figures,the PS3 has been selling consistently more than VGC so for just now don't go on believing the adjustement.

i'm not saying that move didn't cause anything and that kinect won't.just that PS3 was already selling well before MOVE just the VGC figures were not upto it

this recent adjustment is also the reason i took the shipped figures and not the VGC figures in this thread

Kinect is new and COOL and will do well with the big marketing campaignn but that would be for a certain time which is till christmas

there are alot of problems which will hurt it.

it has a pre-image which its formed over the years cause its not a  new console and till now its seen as a mans toys and not friendly to families

the kinect is expensive.

the kinect is not an all in one pakage.yeah there are bundles but a normal average consumer has problems when thing come differently

all these problems are for new consumers

another thing is that most people who would be looking at kinect,move have already been on a bandwagon of wii.

they know that its all cool and gets boring after some time so they would also have problems deciding whether to purchase or not cause they don't want to go through the same process again

7- Now thats just insulting an uncalled for. You should probably keep this stuff out of the debate, it doesn't help your arguement at all, and just makes the forums look crumy.

that wasn't insulting just an advice that you never seem to take and repeat the same behavior again and again

before telling me to keep this kind of stuff out,you should also consider what others told you to keep out of their threads and disucssing which you bring up again and again.you respect people and take their advice,they will take yours and respect you

and you don't help any argument and you should know that before telling others

you keep on going about what you say and make big walls of text but never listen to others

another key advice:your replies are always bigger than,rarely anybody's replies go as big as yours which should tell you how much you try to tell other but when they try to tell you you don't get it

so shorten the telling part and increase the listening part,it is good if you have a balance not one sided
