As some have pointed out it's not all 1st party games that still has it's original price tag, or one close to it.
I can only speak for local prices but here Wii Sports Resort is now about 60% it's original price and Metroid Prime 3 is down to 1/3.
And the games that still sells like crazy will stay expensive. It wouldn't make sense to cut the price when there's high demand.
I agree that Nintendo should introduce a Player's Choice line though. They did in Japan, but that was just 3rd party games iirc. Maybe they'll introduce it later to get some extra sales when Wii is close to dead...
