The difference between those two is that atleast we see something new of Versus XIII every year, while we don't even know what the DQX logo looks like.
Either way, Square-enix shouldn't announce there games when they don't even know when they are gonna be able to release them.
A lot of the people who where excited back then in 2006 about FFvsXIII probably don't even play games anymore.
