Your ideas of innovation are convoluted and your standards for industry changing significance is extremely low. The things being done with Kinect, which is random shovelware, has been done with the Eye Toy, Move, Wii and PS2. HD, 3D and precise shovelware is still shovelware and it provides no improvement on the current format that we are currently using. The voice recognition is inaccurate, the controller free menu systems are slow, the games are janky and outside of dancing games, it's not improving our current gaming experience. Say what you want, but Kinect isn't an innovation, it's a cash in, it's aiming for an easy market and it's reselling old experiences to an audience that doesn't know any better. You could say that it's software, but I can only see an improvement on methods that are already obsolete with a different device, which is the normal gamepad. Our ideas on innovation are obviously different, I've made my point, but I don't think we'll agree with each other. Good for you I guess, I just can't see how anyone can look at two gaming cameras and say that one is so much different, that they shouldn't even be categorised under the same format, which is camera based motion games. You also seem to skip over a lot of points, that's annoying, but I do admit that I write way too much. |
You do write too much... I sorta just read every other word. I don't feel like debating innovation or significance. You're also going on tangent. Lets just move on.
All I learned is you're not a big fan of the Kinect.
