Phantom markets don't make it any clearer imo. As of now, I'd say Microsoft's future commitment seems pretty certain given the sort of resources they're pouring into Kinect, which far outstrip anything he know of in terms of PS3 promotion. If Kinect goes belly up then we have room to reconfigure future expectations, but there's no denying Microsoft intent here; they're in for the long haul. |
lol at MS in for the long haul, they can't last with only a dvd drive, they designed their system for the short haul and their buisness practices are all short term too (timed exclusives, selling ME to EA ect.) the longer the gen goes on the worst off MS will be psn is getting better and xbl isn't but is charging more, MS seems to have pretty much abandoned their hardcore audience and is looking for a totally different one to give them more console sales and seem to just assume their current audience with be happy and just buy multiplats giving them software sales, but MSes grip on multiplats is weakening significantly as well, with several of them having to go to multiple disks, I just don't see MS doing well in the long haul, the ps3 was designed for the long haul, the 360 was rushed out to get a head start
